Ready for our last RECRUITING Tailgate of the year?

Incredibly ready to get a win vs. Madonna! We had a heart-breaker up in Adrian last week vs Siena Heights... but I'm certain the boys will be ready for action and put it on Madonna!
It's also Homecoming for Taylor - so congrats to all you Taylor Alums out there! Each year, the Alumni Association takes over the parking lot near where we normally tailgate and we are displaced. Understandable, but a bit of an inconvenience. This year, our new temporary home is RIGHT in FRONT of the STILLMAN FIELDHOUSE! There's a very nice brick patio there. (Hopefully less bees as well!) We're ready to party... anywhere they put us!

GAME TIME is 7pm... We'll gather about 5ish... My guess is recruits will eat about 5:45-6:15 at which time the recruits will go into the stadium to watch warm-ups and their parents will remain with us to mingle and try to figure out what's special about Taylor Football! N.B. it's us! "The people" (and the Savior inside!) are what make Taylor special!
SOUP is the theme for this time and we have our largest group of recruits of the year coming to visit! Since it is Homecoming and they are displacing us... the Alumni Assoc will potentially reimburse us for (some of?) the food expenses we have. (I'm not entirely sure why, but...) Anyway, please if you can remember to save your receipts and we'll collect them and give them to the coaches - that may get them some money which obviously can be used toward the Senior Banquet expenses... so BRING IN YOUR FOOD RECEIPTS!
Here's the button for the food sign up!
A couple of notes on TAILGATING logistics:
1) please put your NAME on your ladles, crock pots, bowls etc. That will help it to "come home" should you forget to pick it up!
2) There may be difficulty GETTING to this spot. It's Homecoming so PARKING will be SUPER (dare we say SOUPER?) DIFFICULT! I've been told we'll be able to drive into the small lot in front of Stillman to drop things off (if you want/need to do that), but we won't be able to park there... SO PLAN ON EXTRA TIME TO PARK as you plan your weekend!
3) We MAY be able to save leftovers and have a small post-game since our location will be right in front of the Fieldhouse, we've not ever done that, but some have expressed a desire to do so in the past... the way I see it, if it happens, it happens organically!
4) Pray for some sunshine... game time isn't until 7pm so we'll be eating later than normal. DRESS WARMLY!
SENIOR BANQUET UPDATE:
Susan Scott has volunteered to organize the TUFF part of the Banquet! Maybe you can serve on her team! If so, you'll get to meet one of TUFF's most enthusiastic people ever!
I have not gotten an update about Senior Banquet fund-raising - but for you parents of Freshmen-Juniors, we are suggesting a donation of $40-60 from each family to help the program defray the costs of the meal, etc. If you want to donate via Paypal, here's a button!
As always we are excited to see you this weekend at the 7pm FOOTBALL Game: Madonna at Taylor!
