Taylor University Football is a member of the nationally recognized and highly competitive NAIA Mid-States Conference which has produced six of the last eight NAIA National Champions. To prepare for the 2019 season, the Taylor University coaching staff has designed "The Final Eight" weeks of summer workouts to prepare and train more effectively and to compete in 2019 at the highest level in the MSFA.

The second and third quarters of summer training is June 16th - August 9th. During this team-focused, on-campus workout period, Taylor coaches will lead a 4-day per week workout schedule as follows:
Monday & Tuesday 7:00 - 9:30 pm
Wednesday Off/Recovery
Thursday & Friday 7:00 - 9:30 am
Returning players are expected to be on campus throughout this period. These weeks are not only an important development time for the team, but are also a unifying time with opportunities for community-building and relationship/spiritual development.
All players are expected to pre-plan their productivity during this period on campus. Many players have secured (or are in the process of securing) jobs on campus or in the area that will accommodate the workout schedule. Some have enrolled in summer classwork. Still others are working with the Calling & Career Center to secure internships (or jobs) within a reasonable radius of campus so their career ambitions are progressing while fully participating in summer training.
Parents and all members of the Taylor University Football Family are encouraged to pray for the development and unity of the team during The Final Eight! Pray for strong bodies and minds as they dig in to compete at the highest possible level!
